Dean has been playing guitar since the age of 10. His biggest (but not sole) influence is the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan. "Stevies music is difficult to play, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try, No guitar player I've ever seen could play with such emotion or fire, and NOBODY has better tone than SRV."

Dean has also studied with Rick Kurek and Ken Vrabel, 2 of Chicago's most respected players. Dean and Rick compiled the instrumental "The Inner Angel." This smoking performance placed in the top 10 of the "Chicago's Finest Fingers" contest in 1997. Dean pays homage to a lot of blues legends in his playing including: Howlin Wolf, Buddy Guy, Guitar Slim, as well as the Voodoo Master himself, Jimi Hendrix. Dean has co-written (with brother Tony) all of Triple Threat's released material.

What motivated you to start in music? I figured if could help Steven Tyler and Mick Jagger pick-up women, that was the correct angle for me.

If I were on a desert island, was smart enough to build a CD player and headphones from coconuts and palm leaves and fashion a solar panel to power it, and could only have 1 album to play in it, what would it be: SRV's In Step. (Can you play an album on a CD player?)

Most interesting experience had while peforming (music that is): Having bras thrown at me.

Song that changed your life and why: Tick Tock, made me stop and think that time is slipping away, and you should make the most of every moment that you have with the people you love.
